

George Franklin Cole, 77, of Edgewood, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 2, 2025, in Forney, Texas. George was born on April 21, 1947, in Fayette, Alabama to John Orman Cole and Disca Lee Adams.
George grew up in Tyler, Texas and graduated from John Tyler High School. He met and married the love of his life, Linda Sue Story, in June of 1965. The couple built a wonderful life and raised three boys.
Throughout the 60s and 70s George enjoyed building a transmission business and drag racing. He was fondly called “Muncie Man” by friends throughout his life. George never met a stranger; he was the best kind of friend to have – a long-time friend. George was unforgettable and the life of the party. He was an all-round good guy and someone who always had time for a talk and conversation. George was a man to look up to and a model of how to treat others. George is now with his sweet Linda, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
George is preceded in death by his parents, John and Disca Cole; beloved wife, Linda Cole; brother, Jay Cole.
Those here to cherish his memory: sons, Mike Cole and wife Emily, Clay Cole and wife Sheree, Tim Cole; grandchildren: Shelby and Madilyn Cole, Micky Cole, Collin Cole, Aidan Cole, Jesse Cole, Olivia Cole and Magan Ray; brothers, Bo Cole and Jim Cole and numerous other family and friends.
The Family will hold a memorial celebrating the life of George at a later date.
