Harold was my daddy, he was a man of good morals & values. He tried hard to instill those same qualities in my brother, Lanny, and an I. In dad's later years I had the opportunity to have lots of time spent with him. In the last 2~3 years we would make a trip to Tyler on average about once a week because that's where his doctors practice at. Well there's this little place (it is actually a working ranch) on Hyw 80, east of his home in Fruitvale. It is called "Wet Bottoms" which is a very fitting name for it, as most of the year it has standing water or it is underwater. Well from the first time we saw that name, every single trip there after was to include a conversation about "Wet Bottoms"
To dad an I, it became a landmark if you will. He would say "okay Renee, we are coming up on Wet Bottoms" or I would say "now you go down here to Wet Bottoms & you make a right" I will never be able to go past that place without thinking of my daddy & smiling. He was a awsome father and a wonderful man. I thank the good Lord for every day I had with him for they are cherished! 

My grandpa, he was the best man I've ever known in life. The best husband, son, brother, father, cousin, Uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was a man of his word always. He was fair, kind, loving, gentle, honest, wise and above all, loved his family and worked hard to take care of them. I have so many greatly cherished memories with him. I'm so thankful that he had lived a long, prosperous and for the most part, a healthy life. He was gonna be meeting his great great grandson but God called him home before the time came. Even tho it hurts that he is gone, I know he is so much better. In his last days, I reassured him that his new upcoming transition was gonna be ok. That we as his family, were gonna be ok with his transition. Also, I reminded him that we all loved him so very much, constantly reminiscing about good past memories. He loved his little furry friend illuminati, or lumi, as he called her. She was his best friend and she loved him so much. And he always showed her how he loved her. I miss my grandpa, and I just try to remember the special talks that we had before he died. They were special conversations just between us. I know he loved me and I know he is gonna be Stetsons guardian angel always. I love you grandpa
