Jack went home to the Lord on November 22, 2022, in Grand Saline, Texas. He was born in Candler, North Carolina, on July 15, 1935, to Ernest G. and Ethel D. Ayers Wilson. He joined the Air Force in February 1956 and proudly served this country for 22 years in the military followed by 16 years in the Montana border patrol with the Civil Service Department in Havre, MT. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling between Arizona, Texas and North Carolina. He loved his annual visit to Las Vegas to play penny slots and attend the PBR and National Rodeo Finals. He also enjoyed hunting, camping, and assisting with expert advice. He called all kids “Tiger” and showed his compassion to help by becoming a Master Mason and 32nd degree Shriner. Jack enjoyed listening to country music and gospel while he played in a group called the Oriental Band. However, you could always find him relaxing every weekday at 11:00 am with his favorite TV show, “Young and the Restless”. He never missed it!
Jack is preceded in death by his loving parents, Ernest and Ethel; son-in-law, Joe Bishnow; four brothers and four sisters.
Jack is survived by his five daughters: Teresa Hall and husband Terry, Janice Bishnow, Kimberly Brossett and husband Michael, Stacy Simpson and husband Ryan, Tracy McNeil and husband John; his cherished grandchildren, Alisha Bridges, Nicole Smith, Ashley Cook, Amy Rose, Janice Downs, Amber Robinson, Gunner Simpson, Hailey Norris, Catlin Hoecherl, Landen Brossett; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
