James William Golden

Services for James William Golden, 88, of Mesquite, are scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 10:00 am at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX, officiated by Rev. Bob Elliott under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Myrtle Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Golden passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Dallas, TX.

James was born on March 4, 1927 to Earl W. and Viola Golden.

He grew up in Myrtle Springs where he attended school. James joined the Army & served during World War II where he received a Victory Medal. He then returned home and married Geraldean Crane on March 14, 1953. They raised their children in Mesquite before moving to Canton and upon retirement moved to Forney. James loved fishing, painting, gardening, sports, the Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed watching westerns & John Wayne. James left behind several family and friends who loved him dearly.

James is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Geraldean Golden; 3 sisters, Lois Chaney, Opal Turnage, & Lillian Miles.

He is survived by his Son, Garry & Virginia Golden of Mesquite; Son, Craig & Ruth Golden of Mesquite; Daughter, Cheryl Golden of Grand Prairie; Daughter, Lisa Sandone of Dallas; 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Brothers, Ben Golden, Ray Golden, Jack Golden, & Curtis Golden; and 2 Sisters, Neva Collett & Shirley Wimberly.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Eubank Funeral Home.
