

A graveside service will be held for James "Sonny" Edward Hayworth, 91, of Wolfe City, Texas at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton, Texas, Rudy Fernandez officiating and under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.
Sonny was born on January 22, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to Charlie and Gladys Hayworth. He passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021 in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Sonny grew up in Combine, Texas and was a long time member of Point View Baptist Church in Combine. He served in the Army during the Korean War for three years and was stationed in Japan. Sonny married his true love, Joyce Pauline Davis on October 2, 1953, the couple had 50 wonderful years together until her passing. He worked with his hands in construction most of his life. In his younger years Sonny worked on the family rural farm, he enjoyed growing things on the farm land. He did work for a wonderful couple who influenced his life at the Wilson Dairy Farm in Combine, driving a milk truck. Sonny loved the Lord, his family and life. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Sonny is survived by his son, Clayton Hayworth; daughter, Kimberly Hayworth Flores and husband, Rick; granddaughters, Caly Hayworth; Calyn Flores Bryant and husband, Jason; great grandchildren, Jaydee Bryant and Jagger Bryant; sister, Christine Moya.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Gladys Hayworth; beloved wife, Joyce Hayworth.
