Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, TX.
Mrs. Piper passed away January 30, 2016, in Grand Saline, TX. She was born January 2, 1943, in Bessemer, AL to Woodrow Wilson and Claudine Dabbs Lagle.
Janice grew up in Hueytown, AL where she graduated high school and then attended the University of Alabama where she met Bill, her husband, of 53 years. They moved to Canton in the 1980’s. Janice was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton where she worked in the nursery and sang in the choir. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, spending time with her family, holidays and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Janice is survived by her Husband, Bill Piper, of Canton, Son, Paul Dee and Silke Piper of Temple, TX, Daughter, Pam Piper of Dallas, Daughter, Penni and Scott Gordon of San Marcus, TX, Grandsons, Piper Gordon and Parker Gordon, Sisters Gail Allcorn and Rebecca Smith and Brother, Michael Lagle.
Visitation is Tuesday, February 2, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
