Mrs. Mercer passed away at her home on September 4, 2017. She was born April 28, 1948 in Sherman, TX to Kenneth Lester and Nelda Jean Crook Carney.
Kaye was a member of the First Christian Church in Lancaster. She taught at the Lancaster Intermediate School for 20 years. Kaye is preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, H.H. Mercer, Jr. and her grandparents.
Kaye is survived by her husband, David Mercer of Wills Point; son, Charles David and Ava Mercer of Quinlan; daughter, Brenda Kaye and Johnathan Terry of Midlothian; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Pitalo; brother, Kenneth Carney; and mother-in-law, Patsy Ruth Mercer.
Family will receive friends 7-8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
