Jerry Lynn Henderson of Edom, TX went to be with his Lord on August 7, 2017. He was born on August 19, 1948 in Paris, TX to Arthur Henderson and Hettie Katherine Whitt who preceded him in death along with his brother, Daniel Henderson.
Jerry worked in the building trade for 45 years, and Door Control Inc. of Ben Wheeler for 81/2 years. His construction knowledge opened doors to mentor many young lives that built their characters and future.
Jerry and Shirley were members of the First Baptist Church of Edom and he attended as often as his physical health allowed him. Jerry’s heart was his family. Whether you were related by blood or needed a family-this was who Jerry was.
Those who will forever cherish Jerry in their hearts are: his beloved wife, Shirley Lynn Henderson; daughter, Tracy & Tom Owen; son, Jeff & Ronda Roane; son, Kevin & Michelle Henderson; daughter, Karen Bailey; son, Jason & Hollie Roane; 9 grandchildren: Trent, Lydia, Trevor, Meagan, Ryan, Erika, McKayla, Haylie, & Audra; 9 great-grandchildren: Maylie, Logan, Ayden, Olivia, Sarah, Jax, Skylar, Parker, & Remington; brothers:, Dennis Henderson, Arthur & Wonnie Henderson, and Johnny & Julie Henderson; along with extended family, dear friends and neighbors.
