Karren Anne Childs

A memorial service will be held for Karren Anne Childs, 82, of Mesquite, Texas at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Eubank Funeral Home, Pastor Steve Glosup officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Karren went home to the Lord on March 10, 2022. She was born on April 5, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Arbrun Baler Childs and Blanche Smithart Childs.

This beautiful woman was a long time and devoted member of Mesquite Church of Christ. She was a dedicated teacher of music for the Dallas ISD. Teaching music and helping young people was a passion. Karren enjoyed painting and listening to classical music. She was a very social person and was active as a volunteer and giver of donations to many organizations, Boys and Girls Club of America was one of her favorite. Karren enjoyed good conversations, political, social topics movies, music…. List goes on and on. She was an organized woman who enjoyed spending time traveling internationally, eating gourmet foods, watching Tom Hanks’ movies and war movies, but most important was time spent with family and friends. She loved and adored her nieces and nephews. Karren always put God and family first. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in their hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arbrun and Blanche Childs; sister, Cheryl Hague; brother, Reginald Childs.

Karren is survived by her brother Terry and Linda Childs; brother-in-law, James Michael Hague; nieces, Shannon Starks, Kimberly Childs and Heather Cuthbert; nephews, Brian and Rachel Hague; Kevin and Johanna Hague; a host of other family and friends.

Inurnment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas
