Kathy Jean Safran, 60, of Canton, TX sadly passed away on October 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 26, 1963, in Corpus Christi, TX to Billy Wayne and Lois (Gillespie) Younglove. Kathy was a very private, detail oriented person who loved to travel. She was a proud member of Crossroads Church since it began and she enjoyed helping the community whenever possible. She loved her family above all else and taught her son how to take care of himself when he was grown. Kathy showed him how to care for his car and how to change a tire along with several other responsibilities. Kathy also enjoyed music and could play a wide variety of string instruments along with singing gospel songs and some country.
Kathy was preceded in death by her cherished son, Nicholas Daniel Safran.
She is survived by her caring family; son, Matthew Safran; grandchildren: Melody, Kyle and Rowen; father, Billy Younglove and Eva; mother, Lois Smith; sisters: Cynthia Taylor and Wayne, Melinda Grogan, Kathy Gage, Kelly Crosby and Russell; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
