Funeral services for Sue Chaney Terpening, 85, of Van, will be 2 pm Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Mark Carter officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.
Mrs. Terpening passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, in Canton. She was born January 20, 1932, to the late James Calvin and Nora Lee Ball Higdon.
Sue was a member of the Colfax Baptist Church. She was a giver to the community, a provider to the public and always willing to help others in need.
She is preceded in death by her husbands: Houston Chaney and Nolan Terpening; a step-son, Dennis Chaney; and seven brothers and sisters.
Sue is survived by her three sons: Larry Dewberry of Arlington, Roger Dewberry of Van, and Tim Chaney and his wife, Nanci, of Tyler; daughter, Regina Campbell and her husband, Al, of Canton; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
If desired, memorials may be given to the Colfax Baptist Church Benevolence fund.
