Marvin "Danny" Daniel Harrison

Marvin Daniel “Danny” Harrison, 84, of Canton, Texas passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, in Grand Saline, Texas. He was born on August 8, 1940, in Goose Creek, Texas to Marvin D. Harrison and Mozell McReynolds Harrison.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Eubank Funeral Home, Bro. Mike Roberson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Danny grew up in Coolidge, Texas and graduated from Coolidge High School. On August 30, 1958, he married his high school sweetheart, Joy Wilson. The couple built a beautiful life together raising two sons.

Danny enjoyed hunting, camping and traveling together with Joy seeing the wonders of nature. Danny was a quiet man and easy going. Danny and Joy moved to Canton 20 years ago and made Canton home. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Canton. Danny’s faith and love of the Lord was seen in the way he lived. The family has comfort in knowing they will see him again.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mozell Harrison; son, Jeffrey Marvin Harrison; brothers-in-law, Newman Lusk and Wendell McClinton.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 67 years, Joy Harrison; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Tricia Harrison; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Harrison Neiger; grandchildren: Hayden Harrison, Brennan Harrison and wife, Haley, Ashtyn Harrison, Amber Davidson and husband, Greg, Adam Harrison and wife, Jaci; great-grandchildren: Colton Davidson, Maycei Rideway, Eli Davidson,Ember Harrison, Silas Harrison; great-great-grandchildren, Wynn, Elsah, Oliver, Ellis, one more on the way; siblings: Katherin Lusk, Beverly McClinton, Larry Harrison and wife, Mary, Deborah Penny and husband, Kenneth, Richard Harrison and wife, Beverly; a host of other family and friends.

Danny will be laid to rest beside his son, Jeffrey, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Rockwall, Texas.
