Marvonne was born August 2, 1950 and passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on March 18, 2026 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 75 years. She was a 1968 graduate of Edgewood High School. She then attended Tyler Junior College before attending Dallas School of Beauty where she obtained her Cosmetology license. Marvonne worked for over 25 years at Jane's Beauty Salon in Canton, Texas, and also worked as a manager and bartender at the Canton VFW. She then went on to work 16 years for Canton Motors, which later became Allstar Ford. Marvonne was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 9171 and hosted the Annual Butch Adkison Memorial Toy Run for many years. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her children, and the light of her life was her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Marvonne is preceded in death by her parents: Madeline J. Cox, Dewey Dean Cox, Benard and Margaret Weatherall; infant brother, Dewey Dean Cox, Jr.; infant sister, Pamela Sue Cox; and her brother, Benard Weatherall, Jr.
Marvonne is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Ken Land; her daughter, Amy Bass and David Darby; her sons: Lance and Jennifer Bass, Ken and Kristi Land, Andy Land, Matt Land, and Wesley Land; grandchildren: Jolie Bass and Jon Murray, Layton Bass and Bayli Fillinger, Laynee Bass, Karson Land, Kirstie Land, Macie Stinson and Kenzie Land; brother, Tommy Jeff Weatherall; sisters: Martha Weatherall, Lea Ann Massey, and Jeanne Yarbrough; brother, Joe Wright; nephew, Tommy Jeff Weatherall, Jr. and Mary, niece, Stormy Sustaita; several other nieces and nephews, and countless other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Baugh, Jimmy D. Baugh, Jeff Weatherall, David Darby, Shawn Phillips, Jed Erwin, Jason Bonham, and Gary Bass.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Layton Bass, Jon Murray, Lee Farmer, and Steve Bennett.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Monday at the funeral home.
