Mary was passed away on December 2, 2017 in Carrolton. She is was born on January 25, 1937 in Dallas to Harold James and Claudine Rodgers King.
Mary moved to Wills Point and lived there for 35 years where she worked for the Wills Point Post Office. She loved gardening, oil painting, and baking. Mrs. Gilbert loved animals and always had a dog companion in her life. She enjoyed getting together with her family, reading, and traveling.
Mrs. Gilbert is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Billy Joe and her parents.
Mary Frances is survived by her daughter, Vickie and Rod Ulrich; son, Scott and Sarah Gilbert; grandchildren: Tony and Chris Bagwell, Matthew Ulrich and Sarah O'Dwyer, Taylor Gilbert and Melissa Gilbert and Sean Carver; 2 great-grandchildren: Cody Bagwell and Landon Carver; 2 step grandchildren: Daylan Sharp and Kegan Sharp; 2 step great-grandchildren: Jack McDonnell and Matt McDonnell; and sister, Joyce Henson.
Pallbearers are Tony Bagwell, Matt Ulrich, Taylor Gilbert, Randy Gilbert, Jeff Hall and Mike Ryan.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
