

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Mary Loraine Wooten known to everyone who knew her as “Lory”, who departed from this world on 6/4/23. Though her departure has left a void in our lives, we find solace in cherishing the memories we shared and celebrating the remarkable person she was.
Born on 5/1/47 in Alpine, TX to George Henry Foster and Mary Ellen Foster. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, Johnie Mason Wooten Jr aka “Fatboy” who dearly loved his “Fatgirl”. Two daughters Tamera Loraine McLaughlin and Monica Elaine Anthony. She was preceded in death by her oldest grandson Aarron Ashmore and survived by four grandsons Billy Autrey, Cole Autrey, David McLaughlin and Jacob McLaughlin. Two great grandchildren Alaina Autrey and Chase Autrey. As a dedicated wife, devoted mother, and doting grandmother, she left an indelible mark on our lives and created a legacy of love that will endure for generations to come. Her warm and nurturing nature touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
As a mother, Lory created a foundation of love, guidance, and inspiration for her two surviving daughters, Tamera and Monica aka “Tammy and Tammy Jr”. She nurtured them and instilled in them the strength and perseverance to stay strong and pursue their dreams and take the bull by the horns to overcome any situation that life can throw at them. Her impact on their lives will forever be treasured.
Lory found immense joy in her role as a grandmother. To the ones that knew her best they were the light of her life, and she relished in their laughter, shared in their triumphs, and provided a haven of love and wisdom. Her legacy lives on through these precious young souls who will forever carry her love in their hearts.
Lory leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. While we mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on within us. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, her infectious laughter, and her compassionate heart.
Visitation services to honor and celebrate Lory’s life will be held on 6/10/23 at 2pm at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, Texas. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
