Met you one time sir. Went to find you but you were gone.

Monty and I graduated High School together, we both attended Devry Institute of Technology together and we both had after school jobs together. I remember on our drive home one evening, I told him about this cute girl I was seeing at Youth Ranch, and he told me that was his cousin. I didn't believe him, so I had him tell me all of their names. I ended up marrying his cousin.
I will miss his smirky smile and that distinctive laugh.
Life is definitely better for you now, worshiping at the feet of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sending love and prayers your way dear family.  We will certainly be keeping you all lifted up, especially in the days to come. Monty was a great man who made a big difference, we were blessed to call him a Brother and a Friend. He will be missed on this side but praise God for the Hope that we have!

I've known Monte about 6 years and through the years we've become good friends as I worked on some of his properties. I came to know he had a great faith in God through Jesus Christ. I know, one day, we will meet again in that mansion, just over the hilltop.

To the Jones family sending love and prayers at this difficult time. I’ve known Monty  my whole life, I’m 12 days older than him, and the place I remember the most was at the Lane Church in the country when we were kids. He had a little sneaky side to him then and to this day I hate june bugs because Monty and Mark Sims would throw them on me & some of the other girls after church. 😳 The the church later moves uptown Edgewood and became the Lanewood church throughout our preteen/teen & adult years. Being the same age we were in the same 1976 Bicentennial graduating class! I was in one of the same classes as he and some other guys he hung out with, and he taught me how to make a paper airplane   And I have made countless planes for my 5 grandsons  to this day.  Monty was a great example of a Christian man and I’m sad for the family & friends but so happy for him. HES SEEN JESUS YALL!!!  Prayers for you all! “Even so, come Lord Jesus!!!

From the Major & Myrl Jones family, we are saddened by the loss of a dear cousin who I know is with my father and mother in Christ's hands.  
Some of my fondest memories are the "Jones" family reunions at Sonny's home playing games and just enjoying being with the family.

Monty was a great friend. I grew up next door to them, went to church with them. We spent many days playing tag football, stuck in the mud, Ann over and card games. I remember back in the 70s we had a hard freeze for days. Sonny let us skate on a pond, but we was to stay to the side. Monty and my brother got to close to each other and broke threw the ice. Sonny got them out, they was ok. Great memories. He will be missed. God bless you all Tina, Mark, Casey, Tracy  and Nelda. May the Lord be with you all. I love you all very much.

Tasha, Grayson & family… our love & prayers to you during this most difficult time. Jason & I have countless memories with Monty, wish I could record them all but some of my favorites were being in church together, the plays we did, we had game nights- he loved to play games & laugh & have a good time. Jason played softball tournaments with him, our families would get together for volleyball nights & tournaments, cookouts & revivals. Man we had some of the best times. He had a huge heart. The biggest smile & I loved when he would get tickled sharing a funny story. Till we meet again friend…all our love. Jason, Melissa, Trent, Jolie, Brilynn & Dorty Fischer ❤️

My cousin Monty was one of the greatest God fearing,  most loving and caring men I've ever known, preceded only by his dad, my Uncle Sonny.  Playing football when we were young. 42 when we were older. Memories I'll never forget.  Love you Moose

I never got the privilege of meeting your Dad but I know the kind of man he must have been based on how you and Grayson turned out. I know he had to be kind and gentle, loving, and a devoted father. I know he had to be so very proud of the woman you are today, confident he had a hand in that. I cannot make your sorrow go away but am rejoicing knowing he is in the presence Jesus, completed healed, waiting for a joyous reunion many years from now. We love you !

Grew up riding the school bus with Monty and the Jones children. During our 20 minute ride lots of laughter and fun in making memories.  He was always pleasant and enjoyed people.  He was extremely a good young lad and loved his faith by showing his steps in growing up.  Peace and comfort to the family.
