Nancy Carolyn Gibbons

Nancy Carolyn Hamilton Gibbons, age 83, of Canton, Texas passed from this life into eternal life in Heaven on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. A service will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 at 11:00 am, at Eubank Funeral Home, Canton, Texas. Bro. Fred Cooper officiating.

Nancy was born December 11, 1937, in Leonard, Texas, to her parents Ernest Hamilton and Ruby Tadlock Hamilton. The fifth of six children she attended school in Trenton and Gober Texas. At the age of 18, Nancy accepted Jesus and was baptized in Dodd City, Texas "by a one-armed Methodist minister" during an area tent revival. She attended Turner Baptist Church, Wills Point (now Bright Star Baptist).

After retiring in 1999 from 25 years of service to Dallas County in the Tax Office and Extension Agents Office, she moved to Canton. She held a Dallas County Master Gardener certification and loved to garden and work in her yard. Favorite past times were searching out estate and garage sales. She worked passionately to support locale and national conservative political candidates and was a champion of dog rescue and welfare organizations.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents; H.E. Gibbons; sister, Frances Hamilton Weisz; brother, Don Max Hamilton; niece, Carolyn Hamilton; niece, Judy Hamilton Howle; Prissy I and Prissy II.

Survived by her loving family, brother, Thomas Hamilton, Eustace, Tx.; sister, Juanette Hamilton Turman, Greenville, Tx; brother, Larry Hamilton, Grand Saline, Tx; Nieces, Karen Franks, Suzi Price, Kathy Murrey, Jan Hodges, Tonia Flores, Denice Roberts; Nephews, Chris Hamilton, Todd Hamilton, Tommy Hamilton, Gaylann Hamilton, Gary Hamilton, Kenny Turman, Steve Turman and many extended family members and loving friends. Nancy is also survived by her beloved companion and fur baby, Ginger.
