Patti Ann Bourquin

Patti was born on January 17, 1943, in Three Rivers, Texas, to J.T. Lemley, Sr. and Jessie Jo Blair. She passed away peacefully in Canton, Texas, on September 11, 2025, at the age of 82.

Patti attended schools in Three Rivers, George West, and Ozona, Texas before moving to Wills Point in 1959. She graduated from Wills Point High School in 1961. On March 31, 1967, Patti married Charles Bourquin, after a brief courtship. Together they lived in various locations throughout Texas, Arizona, California, and Colorado. Upon moving back to Canton, Patti worked at First National Bank for more than 16 years.

Patti enjoyed the outdoors and was known for her green thumb. She took pride in her flower beds and could never turn down a pretty plant. Patti also enjoyed hunting and fishing with Charlie. She was an avid animal lover, especially when it came to her dogs, horses, and chickens, each of which she cared for deeply. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Patti was a Charter Member of the New Frontiers Cowboy Church, where she and her husband, Charlie, worked tirelessly helping establish and build the church and its arena ministries. She loved being Mrs. Patti to all the children over the years. Most importantly, Patti never missed an opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ. No matter the situation, she made sure those around her knew the hope and joy she found in her faith.

Patti’s personality was unforgettable–she was sassy and quick-witted yet deeply loving once you earned a place in her heart. Her laughter, strong spirit, and fierce devotion to those she loved will be cherished by all who knew her.

Patti was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Jo Blair; her father J.T. Lemley; stepmother, Windy Lemley; husband, Charles Bourquin; brother, Ronnie Lemley; brother, Jerry Wayne Lemley; sister, Linda Kay Lemley; and granddaughter, Natalie Ann Whitehead. Her great granddaughter, Willow Cheyenne Bourquin, sadly followed Memaw to heaven a few days later.

Patti is survived by her sisters; Sharon (Lemley) Mason and Lisa (Lemley) Bogle; brother, J.T. Lemley, Jr.; children and spouses, Susie (Bourquin) and husband, David Dorman, Charles K. Bourquin II, Chad Bourquin and wife, Sherri, all of Canton; grandchildren (and spouses): Holly Dorman Telford (Chris), Ryan Dorman (Haley), Teddie Owen Eilenberger (Derick), Christian Bourquin, Jonathan Bourquin (Jasmine), Carley Bourquin Gaither (Matt), Erin Bourquin Hague (Tyler), Wyatt Bourquin, Kayden Bourquin, Zach Melton (Jessica), Kelsey Heddin McGee (Caleb), Nevan Heddin; and her 14 great-grandchildren: Zephan, Ariah, Ezra, Spencer, Jessie, Jasper, Maxine, Creed, Lyla, Carson, Amira, Willow, Quinn, and Kenna.
