Ron enjoyed cooking, traveling and NASCAR. You could find him relaxing watching the fast cars, cooking for friends or taking a ride in the country. He enjoyed traveling to the national parks and wolf reserves to see nature. Ron was a kind soul and will be dearly missed by family and friends but live on in the memories they shared.
Ron was a hard worker all his life. In his earlier life, he was a farmer and rancher. He worked for Beech Aircraft, in the oilfields and was an OTR driver and office personnel for National Carriers for over 25 years.
Ron married his true love, Sue on May 31, 2003. Together they built a beautiful life. Ron was an active member of his Masonic Lodge; being a Past Master of Roy Stanley Masonic 1367 and served as Treasurer for four years. Ron was most recently the District Deputy Grand Master for the Grand Lodge of Texas. He was awarded the Golden Trowel award, which is the lodge’s highest award for service. Ron was a member of the Roy Stanley Chapter 1086, Order of the Eastern Star; Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Dallas and Hella Shrine.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Geneva of Liberal, Kansas; sister, Charlene from Kansas and Missouri.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Sue; brother Raymond and wife, Leabeth; children: Ronnie, Darry, David, Sheryl, Bruce; grandchildren: Charlotte and Ali; stepsons: David May and wife, Susan; Glen May and wife, Caro Lynn.
