Graveside services for Scott Lyn Powers Sr. 83 of Canton are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Prairie Springs Cemetery in Ben Wheeler officiated by Bro. Matt Parker under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Scott passed away on January 24, 2020, in Athens.

He was born on January 13, 1937, in Luverne, Alabama to Powell Hall and Marion “Polly” Reynolds Hall.

Scott was a jack of all trades. He owned Engraving by Pat in Canton and A1 Trophy in Athens. He served on the Martins Mill School board for many years. Scott moved to Canton in 1974. He was a great story teller and also loved to play games especially horseshoes. He loved life and was full of humor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 40 years, Patricia Powers; brother, Ed Hall; and three grandchildren.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Vina Carroll and husband, Ronnie; son, Win Chester Hall and wife, Jan; daughter, Bonny Havlik; son, William Hall and wife, Lea; son, Steven Hall; daughter, April Powers Cleaver and husband, Brady; son, Scott Lyn Powers Jr; 20 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild; partner, Jenette Bemiller; sister, Nellie McManus; sister, Sheila Weeks; and sister, Mabel Carroll.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Eubank Funeral Home from 5 pm to 7pm.
