

Tim Garland, a brave, compassionate, and resilient man, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on January 25, 1970, in Shreveport, Texas to Anthony Marritt Garland and Stephanie Anne Willson Garland. Tim was a resident of Canton, Texas, where he lived a life full of love and dedication.
Tim was a skilled carpenter by trade, known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail. He met his beloved wife, Bobbi Jo, at a cookout in Canton, and they celebrated 16 wonderful years of marriage this past November. Throughout their marriage, Tim was Bobbi Jo's rock and solid ground, especially during the years she fought cancer. He was always by her side, offering unwavering support and love.
In his personal life, Tim had a passion for riding his motorcycle and enjoyed trips to see America's beauty. He cherished date nights at the casino and found joy in sitting by a campfire, engaging in meaningful conversations. Cooking outdoors for friends and family was one of his favorite activities, and he deeply loved his grandchildren. Fishing was another pastime he held dear. Tim was known for his good heart and was the kind of friend one would want in their life, always ready to have your back. His legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, and warmth.
A visitation will be held on January 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, Texas. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 pm at the same venue.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Stephanie Garland; brother, Anthony Garland Jr.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bobbi Jo Garland; children: Timothy Michael Garland JR and partner (Jacob), Kyle Mitchell and wife (Jessica), Cody Mitchell and wife (Alyx); bonus daughter, DeeJay Miller; grandchildren: Rosie, Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, Troy Mitchell, Grayson Mitchell, Levi Mitchell, Avrii Mitchell, Colton Miller, Kristopher Collins, Lucas Collins; Brothers not by blood but something deeper: Tony Edel, David Crnkovich, Mike Mitchell, Ernest Crawford; a multitude of other family and friends.
