

A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home, Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.
Victor grew up in Canton where he loved spending time with his grandparents, Clarence and Ila Baker, and he graduated from Canton High School in 1963. He met and married his one true love, Mary Fugate, when he was 19 years old. Victor was drafted into the army during the Vietnam War and he was stationed in Korea. He came back and built a beautiful life full of love and laughter with his bride. Their only child, Kathleen, brought them much joy.
Victor was Baptist by faith and loved the Lord. He was a Mason member of 42 years with Castilian Lodge 141. above all, Victor was a devoted husband and father. Victor could do anything. He built a treehouse and a playhouse for his daughter when she was a little girl and then when she was an adult, he built a giant built-in bookcase for her new house that she treasures. In his younger years, he built model trains and model airplanes that he would fly. For a time, he owned a boat and took his daughter on her first fishing trips. Victor had a career as an engineer for Texas Power and Light, but his focus was always on his family. His family will cherish the wonderful memories and keep him close in their hearts.
Victor is preceded by his parents, Cavin and Margaret Fugate; brothers, Ronnie Fugate and Paul Fugate.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Fugate; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Rick Krumnow, and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive visitors one hour before the service on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
