He was born on May 10, 1923 in Fort Smith, AR to Wesley Cory and Grace Nix.
He was a World War II veteran and was a barber for most of his life.
Melvin is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Irene Cory.
He is survived by his daughter, Dee and Dave Lutzinger of Wills Point.
