

Armand Collard, Sr. of Summer Shade, KY formerly of Cape Coral, FL and Coventry, RI surrounded by his family went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2026. Armand will be remembered for his infectious smile, witty personality and dedication to his family and friends.
Armand was born in Coventry, Rhode Island in 1937. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He worked as an electrical foreman for General Dynamics Electric Boat Division in Groton, Connecticut for 31 years until retiring.
In his younger years, he loved playing softball, golfing, camping and woodworking. After moving to Florida, he became an avid fan of watching his grandson play baseball, participating in boy scouting adventures, and making puzzles. After moving to Kentucky, he loved working on his son David’s farm, feeding the deer, watching old westerns on TV, birdwatching, and being outside.
Armand was the son of Arthur and Lillian (Hebert) Collard. He was the brother of Leo Collard, Violet Menard, Rose Miller, and Raymond Collard all of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Pauline (Plante) Collard, his son-in-law Curtis Dion, grandchildren Stephanie Dion, and Jessica Collard and his beloved dog, Missy.
He is survived by his 3 children Armand Collard, Jr (Ann Marie), David Collard (Terry), and Denise Dion. His 6 grandchildren Jason Collard, Christina (Ryan) Hennessey, Bonny (Rachell) Collard, Robin Collard, Joshua (Erika) Collard, and Justin (Tracy) Collard and his 7 great grandchildren Jaylee McPadden, Cailyn Noel, Gavin Hennessey, Elliot Archuleta, Kensey Hennessey, Jacob and Emma Collard.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Boulevard S., Cape Coral, FL. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Following the services Armand will be laid to rest in the Honor Garden where the United States Air Force will present Military Honors.
