

Claire Dolores Raso passed away at her Cape Coral home on September 25, 2025. She was born on March 3, 1930 in Chicago. Illinois. The youngest of seven of the late Michael and Francis (Pantano) Genovise.
Claire attended St. Anne's Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her RN. She worked in the medical field as a nurse. Later on she decided to continue her education and earned a degree in Health Arts in 1977 at the College of Saint Francis in Joliet, Illinois
Claire then worked as a school nurse in both Illinois and Florida. A job she truly loved.
She was happily married to Bradford E. Raso for 60 years until his passing in 2014.
Claire was a very religious person who regularly participated in the Celebration of Mass, prayed often and read scripture. She was a very loving person, who loved life, family, friends, people and was a big animal lover as well. She was an active member of the Red Hats.
Claire is survived by her son, Bradford M. Raso, a daughter Christy (Raso) Nowicki, her husband Philip Nowicki, grandson, Ryan Nowicki, his wife Kristin, and great grandchildren Audrey and Logan Nowicki.
A Memorial Mass will be held on October 20th, 2025 at 11:00 am inside the Chapel at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Boulevard S, Cape Coral, FL 33904, (239) 574-4545.
In lieu of flowers, the family instead encourages a donation in memory of Claire be made to the Gulf Coast Humane Society of Fort Myers, 2010 Arcadia Street, Fort Myers, FL 33916, (239) 332-0364.
