Darren was born in Yonkers, New York on February 17, 1961, the proud son to Janet (Rook) and Dorman DeHaas. During his working years, Darren was active in the Culinary field and and served as Chef for the majority of his career. He was the father to his beloved son Brian A. DeHaas and the loving companion to his adored partner Rhonda Newell, both of whom he leaves to cherish his loving memory. Darren also leaves behind a number of extended family members and a multitude of others who were proud to call him a friend. He will be warmly remembered and fondly missed by everybody he knew.
