Dustin Robert Root

Dustin went to Indian River schools in Vero Beach. In 2000, he attended Mariner High School in Lee County to the 11th grade. He was employed at D&D Bait and Tackle - the family business. In school, he enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball.

He is survived by his mother, Debbie Root of Cape Coral, Florida; his brother, Douglas Michael Root and son Brody Root of Cape Coral, Florida; maternal grandfather, Robert Mansfield from Bokeelia, Florida; maternal grandmother, Donna Root from Kenvil, New Jersey; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins in Florida, Texas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

He was predeceased by his father, David Lee Root; brother, David Lee Root Jr; maternal grandmother, Patricia Mansfield; and paternal grandfather, George Lee Root Jr.

Dustin worked hard to recover from addiction. A spirit of bettering himself was one of his many wonderful traits. He will always be loved and missed.

A visitation will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home in Cape Coral on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 noon. Entombment will take place at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
