Emogene Frazier Tackett Lance passed away December 26 at the age of 97. The daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Josephine Gray Frazier, she was born September 30, 1923 near Allen, KY. In 1962, she moved to Cape Coral, FL, with her family. She went to beauty school in 1966 and was a hairdresser until retirement. She was an active member of the Cape Coral Hobby Club and a charter member of the Cape Coral First United Methodist Church.
She married in 1943 to Everett Tackett. They were married 53 years before he passed in 1996. She remarried in 2001 to Paul Lance, who predeceased her in 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Tom) Martindale; 5 grandchildren: Tommy, Billy, and Rob (Cindy) Martindale, Eddie Jr and Sean (Tiffany) Tackett; 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husbands, son Edward Jene, daughter Sandy, granddaughter Sandi, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Graveside services will be held at Coral Ridge Cemetery at 11am on January 9.
