Eugene Lester Gross

Eugene Lester Gross, 73, of N Ft Myers went home to be with Our Lord on April 21, 2016. Born, February 5, 1943, in Niagara Falls, NY, to Howard C. Gross and Blanche P. Gross, who preceded him in death. Eugene served seven years in the U.S. Army, two tours in Germany and one tour in Vietnam. He retired from pipeline construction and moved to Florida in 2003 when he married Verna K. Crawford Russell. Surviving besides his loving wife, Verna: stepsons, James Russell, Sr., Joseph Russell (Tina); grandchildren, Alyssa N. Grant (David), Victoria Kay Hall (Jon), Greg Russell, Sr.; great-grand children Greg Russell Jr and Braiden Grant all of Ft. Myers, FL.; brothers, James W. Gross, Sr., Monroeville, PA, Richard A. Gross, Roswell, NM, Ronald L. Gross (Kathy), Shinglehouse, PA, Robert D. Gross, Sr., (Judy), Lee A. Gross, all of Coudersport, PA; one sister Sandra L. Bajsec (Michael), Leetsdale, PA; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. Visitation will start at 10 am. Pastor Gavin Croft will officiate. Following the services a luncheon will be served at the NFM First Baptist Church, 75 Evergreen Road where Gene was a member. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions for Gene to Hope Hospice.
