Nick is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Kathleen Nicholl, his brother Michael Nicholl (Carolyn) and sister Margaret "Maggie" Anfensen (Scott, deceased)as well as his children Kathryn Cacciolfi (Peter), Erin Nicholl (Karen), John Henderson, Jeffrey Henderson (Angie), Jill Henderson, Joy Zelaya, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 dogs.
Nick, born in Alton,IL and raised in New Jersey before coming to FL, led a life of serving. He served in the US Army as a Military Policeman, he also lived out his dreams as a Cape Coral Police Officer and Detective with 20 years of service retiring in 1997. Nick then went on to serve the Lee County Sherriff's department as a process server for another 15 years. Nick also served the community on the radio as a DJ, as a member and editor of the 3rd degree Knights of Columbus Knight Life newsletter, a member of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus (St Andrews), a member and former President of the Fraternal Order of Police (Cape Coral) and the Ft. Myers Power Squadron. Nick loved giving and serving our community as a resident of Cape Coral for over 40 years.
Those who new Nick we're all subjected to his jest, his humorous ways his ability to brighten a room, a moment or a person but not just to those that shared his friendship...Nick was a friend to everyone he met and he will be so very missed.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 12th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 13th at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd. The Rite of Committal and Military Honors with burial will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
