The photo was taken at 12 Nassau Street, East Providence. Frankie would have been visiting his great aunt and her family. Molnya (Mary) was married to Frank Urbonas. Molnya was Sophie's sister.  Kay very likely took the photo. Kay drove the Model A while dating my mother in the early forties. Sending love to all. Cathi in Nova Scotia.

Frank was a good man! He earned his wings, May he fly high to the Polka Band in the sky. He will join my mom up there!  Say hello to her for us, and tell her that we miss and love her.  Our sincere sympathies to all who knew him.  He gave us Polka CD's , he also played at my mom's wedding to my dad.  He was a great guy and will be missed by all who knew him!

My late husband and I met Frank Gubala Sr with our involvement in Saint Katharine Drexel Music Ministry 14 years ago.  He was very warm, welcoming and enthusiastic, especially in finding out that my husband Jim, was also a retired music educator.  His music expertise and reflections of the music and sound after mass were always wanted and appreciated. 
Frank Sr was a dedicated educator, professional musician and had a deep devotion to his family and his faith.  He has left a legacy of launching many in their music careers and nurturing and providing for a family that is very close knit- bonded by their memories created around Polish traditions, their Catholic faith, food and Polka music. 
I have been blessed to part of their lives through Frank Jr, and feel so fortunate to have known Frank Sr.  My love and condolences to all of the Gubala's....may he rest in eternal peace. 

I’m so sorry to hear that Mr G has left us.  He had such an impact on my life.  I’m still involved in the performing arts today at age 60.  I’m glad I got to spend time with him on Facebook in recent years.  He was a wonderful person and a great educator. 

Frank was a man who touched many lives, always for the better! I met him through my late son, he was my Jay's AV teacher at Millis High School. Frank had influenced many young people in his many years as a teacher. My thoughts,  love and prayers go out to his loving wife and Nat as well as the whole Gubala family. My you rest in Paradise Mr. G. !
