

Fred was born in Newark, New Jersey on April 23, 1936, the proud son to Elizabeth (Koerkel) and Alexander Paulis. He proudly served our nation in the United States Navy and following his Honorable Discharge in 1961, Fred began working at the telephone company. His career migrated through a changing industry which took Fred to AT&T where he spent the majority of his working life and rising through the ranks until retirement as Supervisor of Equipment Manufacturing.
Sadly, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Oneida Paulis; mother, Elizabeth Betty (Koerkel) Paulis and father, Alexander Paulis; sister, Elaine Evangelista and brother, Robert Paulis.
Mr. Paulis is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Lairna Paulis of Cape Coral, Florida and his brother, Stephen Paulis of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, his sister-in-law, Agnes and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation for Fred will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm inside the Remembrance Events Center at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, located at 950 Chiquita Boulevard S, Cape Coral, FL, 33991, (239) 283-0540. A Vigil of the Rosary will follow at 1:00 pm. Fred's Funeral Service will take place at the same location at 2:00 pm and will be celebrated by Deacon Edison Gibbons. At the conclusion of these ceremonies, family and friends will recess to adjacent Coral Ridge Cemetery where an Honor Guard from the U.S. Navy will render Funeral Military Honors at approximately 2:45 pm. Immediately following these honors, Fred will be laid to rest alongside his dearly departed wife Oneida at Mausoleum III located inside the Garden of Memory.
