A kind, generous, and compassionate woman, Gloria lovingly devoted her life to family and worked as a therapist with at-risk youth and as a teacher early in her career. Her master’s degrees in Psychology and Healthcare Management, as well as degrees in accounting and teaching, exemplified the value she placed on education which she also instilled in her children.
Gloria is survived by her beloved spouse of 42 years, Dr. Nelson G. Monroy; daughter Diana and her husband Brian of Niceville, FL; son Hansel and his wife Rachel of San Jose, CA; 2 granddaughters, Brianna and Hailey of Niceville, FL. She is also survived by 4 sisters Zonia, Belinda, Paz, Mey and 4 brothers Paul, Reynaldo, Jose, Carlos.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 27th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL, from 10 – 12 noon with service to follow. Interment will be held on Friday morning at Heritage Gardens Cemetery, 2201 Partin Dr. North, Niceville, FL.
