Gretchen Tyson Hall was called to home on November 24th, 2020, after a long battle. Gretchen was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to all. Gretchen had a heart of gold and would give anyone anything she could, even if she needed it more.
Gretchen graced this world with her presence on June 5th, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA. Born to Gretchen and William Tyson, and sister to Billy Tyson. Gretchen’s passion for helping others came to life when she became an LPN and became a well-respected individual at hospitals throughout PA and FL. She also had a passion for crafts and cooking. Regardless how tired or busy her day was, Gretchen made time to have a hot meal on the table every evening and ensured she spent quality time with those she loved making arts and crafts that will last a life time.
In 1966, Gretchen became a mother for the first time, welcoming her son, David. In years to come she also brought joy to the family with daughter Dawn, sons Chris, Daniel, Donald and Dwayne (Tommy). This family grew over the years and now Gretchen is able to watch over all of us including her grandchildren, Amber, Brandi, Rinay, TJ, Zachary, Brielle, Kristian, Mackenzy, Jaclyn, Bailey, Danielle, Ethan, Gavin, David, James, Phoebe, Dalton, Davey, Kellie, Cody and great grandchildren Lily, Kylie, Colt, Addie and Holley.
Gretchen leaves behind many family and friends but also leaves behind many lasting memories that filled our hearts with love and joy. She will be truly missed.
