

Helen M. Croft, 81, of Cape Coral, FL passed away Monday, May 19, 2014. She was married for 61 years to Willie W. Croft who preceded her in death Feb. 2012. A memorial service will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Pkwy, Cape Coral on May 29 at 1 pm. Ashes will be laid to rest in a private service at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Helen is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Johnny) Degler of Cape Coral and Janis Croft (Alan Winer) of St. Augustine; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three nieces and a nephew. A sister, Donna Sue Clark of Moberly, Mo. and sister-in-law, Alberta Lance, St. Charles, Mo. survive Helen.
Helen was born in Moberly, Mo., the daughter of Aubrey and Nellie Burton. She graduated from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo. and later received a Master's Degree in Education from St. Francis College in Joliet, Ill. Helen taught business courses in Joliet and Fort Myers. Upon her husband’s retirement, Helen and Willie moved to Florida where she spent 28 wonderful years enjoying her favorite past times: golfing, dancing and playing bridge. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church and the Elks.
