Jim was such a nice guy!  We met him when we first moved to town in 1999.  We began using him for our vehicle repairs and we stored our delivery truck there for several years, only charging me such a minimal fee I would just go by and give him 20 bucks occasionally and we developed a great friendship.   A year or so later I purchased Paradise Car Spa on Cape Coral Parkway which was a car wash and quick lube and whenever we noticed problems with customers cars we always sent them to Jimmy.  There came a time when a customer of mine tried to say we had ruined her car and Jim was there for me telling what she was saying was absolutely impossible.  I called him often for advise and he always had time to explain things to me.    I'm sure sad to hear of his passing, he tried so hard to keep working in spite of his poor health and he never complained.   Miss you Jim.   The Pappalardo Family

I think about u everyday day uncle jimmy. My heart still breaks every time I realize this isn't some bad nightmare. You were an amazing uncle, brother, son and friend. I will miss you everyday until I see you again. Rip uncle Jim! Love u.

We all had great times with Jimmy. No matter what was going on in our lives. One look at his smile and care free attitude made you feel important and loved. There are so many fond memories I have of him and I will cherish them. I will share them with my son so that he knows how great his great uncle was before he went to be with the LORD.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Awis family.  Connie told me that she had an opportunity to see Jimmy at Hospice and how special that time meant to her.  I still remember the time I had with Dad before he went home.  I know that Jimmy and Dad are both smiling down on all of us.  Remember the dash between the dates. As I look thru the most wonderful pictures of Jimmys life I can remember all the good times He had and so many more that I have heard about over the years . Jimmy always had a big heart and would help when ever He could . His Dad and mine have been friends for a long time . I am so glad to have known Jimmy for all these years and He will be greatly miss by so many people myself included. My thoughts are with you as you remember Jim. He assisted my family and I for years on our cars. He would sometimes say "I could fix this and I would have to charge you $100 but I could tell you what part to buy and it would cost you $5."  I remember when he got a puppy and he let some local kids babysit it at the shop and take it for walks and they never came back with it one day. He was matter of fact, that it is what it is. I teased him that the way he answered his phone sounded like "Awis side of Uhaul" and he would laugh, Great guy...

The happiest memories I have are with uncle jimmy. I think about probably 60 times a day everyday. You are soooo terribly missed and always will remain in my heart. I know I will see you again one day, but it will feel like an eternity. Youre in the arms of the angles, may you find some comfort with them. RIP jimmy! I really cant express how much we miss you!
