James Thomas Sorge

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Thomas Sorge, age 24, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. He was born October 6, 2000, James was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him.

James was an accomplished cross-country runner, a proud National Thespian and active in community theatre. He was also the youngest member of the Conifer Chamber of Commerce and earned an associate’s degree from the Culinary Institute of America. James’s leadership traits shone through in every endeavor he pursued.

He had the best smile; it could light up any room. James was a passionate singer and participated in multiple singing groups. He was dedicated member and volunteer for the LGBTQ+ community, James also devoted his time to various animal shelters, exemplifying his love for both people and animals.

James leaves behind his beloved mother, Trudi Sorge; father, Bryan Sorge; four siblings, Novaeh, Matthew, Brandon and Timberlee; one half-brother, Hunter Sorge; as well as his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated 1:30 PM, Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Boulevard S., Cape Coral, FL 33991.

James will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain in our hearts.
