Janine Shaw LaPorta, lovingly known as “J9”, 54, of Matlacha passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014. Born May 23, 1960 in Queens, NY, Janine was a founding member of the Cornbread Mafia, a member of the Matlacha Hookers and the SW Florida Blues Society. She also worked at Mulletville, Bert’s Bar & Grill and most recently at the Olde Fish House Marina.
Janine is survived by her 2 loving daughters Crystal and Alicia LaPorta; 7 dear siblings Walter Shaw, Kathleen Krumbholz, Barbara Masters, Julie Hadee, Maryanne Konkowski, Susan Donnelly and Kelly Redavid; 2 cherished grandchildren Raven Lilly Davila and Jayden James LaPorta.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband James and parents Walter and Margaret Shaw.
A celebration of Janine’s life will be held at 12pm on Saturday, June 7th at The Olde Fish House Marina in Matlacha. All are welcome. She was loved and will be missed by all that knew her.
