On the afternoon of Friday November 6th, Jean Marie Henrichs quietly passed away at Health Park Medical Center with family at her side.
Jean was born in Cicero, Ill. in 1946 where she attended J.C Morton high school. She married her husband, Peter J. Henrichs, in 1968 and gave birth to their son, David Henrichs, in 1972. They lived together in Evergreen Park, Ill. until 1988 when they decided to leave the cold and snow behind and build a home on Pine Island in Bokeelia, Fl. where she spent her remaining years. Her love, thoughts and remembrance of family and friends was felt by everyone in her life. Music inspired her and brought joy to her days and was only surpassed by her love to shop, travel and visit family that lived far away. Little things that brought a smile to her face were the smell of fresh bread, petting one of the many cats that had come and gone in her life or sitting and watching game shows with her husband. The working years of her life were primarily spent as a mortgage processor where she was happy to help people and made many friends. Most notable was her time with Habitat for Humanity where she again displayed her love for helping people. Her bright smile and contagious laugh will be missed by everyone who touched her life. Not so long ago she put to rest her brother Joseph Gorman and her father Conan Gorman. She is survived by her mother, Lillian Gorman, husband, Peter Henrichs, her son and daughter in law, David & Kari Henrichs, and her 2 grandchildren, Dustin Jay & Kayla Ann Henrichs.
Thoughts of her will make the sun shine a little brighter and her absence will make the heart a little heavier. As with everyone we love, she will always live on in our hearts and minds.
A memorial service will be held at Coral Ridge Cemetery on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 2:30 pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers you may choose to make a donation to Habitat for Humanity in her name
