

Joseph Louis Fabbrini, 87 of Fort Myers, formerly of Cape Coral and Hoffman Estates, Illinois passed away May 18, 2011. He served his country in the Army Air Corp from 1942-1946. His military career began
As a Cadet at the University of Florida and was trained in Navigation, Bombardier and as a Pilot. Joe attended Wright Junior College and Northwestern University. Joseph also received training as a CCIM in Real Estate and held a real estate brokerage license. Joe’s working career spanned many fields from being a Commercial/Residential builder in Hoffman Estates, IL and Cape Coral, FL to owner/operator of multiple flower shops in the Chicago land area and Cape Coral, FL . Joe’s passions include golfing, running, sailing, flying and he thoroughly enjoyed cooking. Joe was a life-long learner in technology, science, politics and history. He loved being around people and most recently got pleasure from fictional writing. His civic accomplishments included being elected Commissioner to the newly formed Park District of Hoffman Estates as well as serving as a director on the Humana Hospital Board. He was a charter member of the Rotary Club of Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates receiving the Award of Rotarian-of-the-Year and the Paul Harris award. Joe exemplified the 4-Way Test. Joe long enjoyed poetry and lived his life as a humanist on the beliefs of Abu Ben Adem He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Kathleen of 59 years, children; SuEllen (Tom)Hobel, Lisa (Don) Crocket, Joseph (Terri), and James (Karen), grandchildren; Amanda, Jesse, Bradley, Joe, Wesley, Bryan, Jimmy, Jake, Lauren, Jack, and Lily, many relatives and friends.
