Karen D Brown

Karen D. Brown, 58, of Cape Coral passed away on February 23, 2025. Karen was born in Lighthouse Point, Florida on October 19, 1966. She was a devoted wife, a proud and loving mother and grandmother, and a cherished sister.

Karen touched the hearts of our family and friends and never again will we know such a genuinely nice person. She was the absolute best Mom giving her kids a lifetime of encouragement, advice, and endless love. As a dedicated teacher in Cape Coral for over 28 years, Karen inspired countless students to grow into compassionate and successful individuals. She built strong relationships with her colleagues, always offering support and friendship. Karen was also the inspiration for her husband Jeff’s decision to become a high school teacher. She enjoyed any activity involving family and friends as well as the annual RV trips with Jeff.

Karen is survived by her beloved spouse of 37 years, Jeffery S. Brown; her daughter Lauren and her spouse Zack Sheffield and their children Jackson, Pierce, and Hadley; her son Stephen Brown and his spouse Talia and her brothers Kevin Davies (Nancy,) Brian Davies (Jo Ann,) Duane Davies and Craig Davies. Karen also leaves behind her mother-in-law Joanne and father-in-law Bob Brown; her brother-in-law Robbie Brown and a number of extended family members and a multitude of others who were proud to call her a friend. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her loving parents Howard and Eileen Davies.

A Celebration of Life honoring Karen will begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the Sandoval Community Clubhouse, 2573 Sandoval Parkway, Cape Coral, Florida 33991. For entry into Sandoval, please mention the "Karen Brown Event" at the gate.

In lieu of flowers, please instead consider making a donation in memory of Karen to Valerie’s House, a community resource for children and families who have experienced tragedy, loss or death that allows individual grief to be shared so that many can learn how to better cope and move forward.
