

Ken was born on January 9, 1934 to Josephine Quinn Bowdish and William Bowdish in Newark, NJ. After graduating from St. Peters High School in New Brunswick, NJ, Ken graduated from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art.
Ken served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 - 1956 and was stationed in Virginia and North Africa. Ken worked as a photographer for Stavid Engineering Inc. in Plainfield, NJ, and ITT Labs in Nutley, NJ. He continued his career in the printing industry at several companies until he retired in 1999.
Ken married his late wife Pat in 1962 to whom he was married for nearly 55 years. They settled in South Plainfield, NJ where they lived for 30 years before retiring to their home in Sabal Springs, in North Fort Myers, Florida. Ken enjoyed golf and bowling, and was a member of the American Legion and the Elks.
Ken is survived by his two children, Karen Sokol (Steve) of Florida, and Kenneth Bowdish (Olga) of Rhode Island, five grandchildren, Alexander Bowdish, Briana Jiminez (Pablo), Emily Bowdish, William Sokol, Kevin Sokol and two great grandchildren, Ezra Jiminez and Ronan Jiminez.
Ken is preceded in death by his wife Pat, his parents, Josephine Quinn Bowdish and William Bowdish, and his brother Brian Bowdish.
A Visitation for Ken will be on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4-6pm at Coral Ridge Funeral Home; 950 Chiquita Blvd S., Cape Coral, FL 33991. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11am at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church; 1922 SW 20th Ave., Cape Coral, FL 33991. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
