Losing my two brothers Harry & Len in such a short space of time has been very sad.  
I remember when Harry & Len came out of the army and we lived in St Austell, Cornwall.  Len met and fell in love with Marian who at the time lived opposite us.  We were then living in Fowey, Cornwall and Marian lived across the River Fowey in a place called Boscoppa (my first child Johnny Meenaghan was born there, he recently celebrated his 65th birthday 27th June).  
Len gave me away on my wedding day 14th August 1952 (Len's birthday).  Cherie was my bridesmaid.  We often visited Par Beach, Cornwall before Len & Marian left for America, where we enjoyed picnics sat on the beach - lovely memories.
I also recall the time Len returned home after a visit to Dauphanne Du Maurier (well known English author & playwright) he managed to get his book personally signed.
Lastly, the memories of the story our Mum told me about Len being born with  a veil (thin film that covers a newborn baby after birth) they believed it was a sign of psychic abilities and good luck.  My mum & dad where so happy about this they asked the doctor for his Christian name which they used as Len's middle name of Basil.

39 years ago  John and I arrived at Chicago airport with our 6 week old twin sons Jon and Matt you welcomed us into your family. I will always remember your beautiful family and hospitality . I remember the sing alongs that I hoped I could emulate in my children ! Unfortunately we did not have a musician only a vacant baby grand . Marian you raised wonderful children with Len only wish we could have visited more x Len was always full of energy always caring . There are two things they can never take away from you . “Your thoughts and your Memories” Rest In Peace x

Len.  You've meant so much to the Kellogg family.  I remember moving  into our new house in Miller, and Saturday  night discovering that our hot water heater suddenly had released a valve and it spewed out and emptied in the basement.  As a young dad I was beside myself . I remember going with Nancy to Central that Sunday and they asked how things were going and I mentioned the hot water tank.  So they prayed for us.  Then at 3 that after noon Paul and Len showed up with a brand new Sears tank which he paid for .and installed for us.  Nancy and I were so thankful and overwhelmed.  But our lives together were full of Len an Marian's love and good deeds .  We miss you Len.  Phil. 1:3

Leonard Basil Golden, was born to Hyman John Golden and Olive Morris Brooks Golden.

Mr. Golden is survived by his loving family including his wife of 68 years, Marian Ready Golden; five children, Cherie (Steve) Westover of Valparaiso, Indiana, B. Paul (Vicky) Golden of Traverse City, Michigan, Devorah Golden, Jonathan (Brenda) Golden of Roswell, Georgia, Timothy (Dori) Golden of Cape Coral; 19 grandchildren, Becky Peterson, Ben Delzer, Ryan Nicoletto, Danny Nicoletto, Sarah Golden, Zachary Golden, Corydon Golden, Kelly Golden, Aaron Kaplan, Arianna Porchak, Amanda Quinones, Jonathan Golden, Joshua Golden, Tim Walker, Eden Golden, Liam Golden, Eli Golden, Ian Golden, Andrew Golden; great grandchildren, Fin, Lucy, Hawk, Chloe, Jett, Henry; brother, Frank Golden of South Africa; sister, Jean Meenaghan of England.
