Lynette was a parishioner at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Fort Myers, FL where she and her husband were actively involved. She also volunteered her time in the children’s liturgy program at the church. While her children were growing up, Lynette spent time as a Girl Scout Leader in her daughters’ troops. Lynette’s lifelong career as well as her greatest passion was teaching. She taught in the Lee County School District for 33 years at multiple schools including Alva Elementary, Heights Elementary and most recently second grade at Caloosa Elementary school in Cape Coral, Florida. Determined to not let her diagnosis stop her she continued to teach up until a few months before her passing. Lynette was a dedicated and passionate teacher that many strived to emulate. She touched and changed the lives of many children throughout the years that she spent in the classroom. She also thoroughly enjoyed volunteering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an organization very near and dear to her and her family’s hearts.
