Matteo Summa

Matteo Summa, 109, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on July 7, 2013. He was born on May 5, 1904 in Ripacandida, Potenza Italy to Biagio and Colomba Summa. Mr. Summa moved to Cape Coral over 27 years ago from North Royalton, Ohio. He was a longtime Brick Mason and was a member of Brick Layers Local Union No. 5. Mr. Summa was a communicant of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Community.

He is survived by his loving family including his four children, Claire Turchetta of Cape Coral, Angela Trunkett of Cape Coral, Mary Zagaria of Brunswick, OH, Geno Summa of Parma, OH; 17 grandchildren, Matt Summa, Marybeth Prusa, Anita Lynn Sontasota, Nicki Summa, Lori Richlick, Jeannine Seamons, Robert Turchetta, John Ferline, Angela Delgado, Toni Holmlund, Anne Lukitsch, Joe Trunkett, Laura Bethel, Gina Diosy, Lisa Durr, Michael Zagaria, Danny Zagaria

; 36 great grandchildren,Joshua Lukitsch, Courtney Lukitsch, Caroline Lukitsch, Carmen Trunkett, Dominick Trunkett, Matteo Trunkett, Vincent Trunkett, Ellianna Trunkett, Angela Holmlund, Robert Holmlund, Anna Bethel, Kyle Bethel, Stephanie Connors, Stacy Connors, Michael Connors, Matthew Connors, Joe Durr, Jessica Durr, Jimmy Durr, Ricky Leipold, David Leipold, Andrea Liepold, Madeline, Delgado, Christian Delgado, Jillian Prusa, Steven Prusa, Jessica Sontasota, Bill Sontasota ; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Gianina Lanzilota of Italy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Summa in 1995.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday (today) at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Ave., Cape Coral with entombment to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
