Mel was a graduate of North Fort Myers High School. She had a career as an artist, and became well know for her work all throughout the community.
Mel was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church. She loved spending time with her friends and family, and was passionate about her artwork and cooking.
She is survived by her three children Nathan Long, Anna Long and Luke Long; and three siblings David Meo, Rita Meo Sgro and Monica Meo. She also leaves behind two beloved grandchildren Levi Livingstone and Bklyn Livingstone who will forever cherish her memory.

A memorial mass for Melanie will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of The Miraculous Medal Church, 12175 Stringfellow Rd, Bokeelia, FL 33922.
