Michael Wayne Murphy

Mike was born on March 19, 1944 in Charleston, West Virginia to Maurice and Josie Murphy. He attended and graduated from St. Albans high school where he showed talent both as a student and basketball player.

Mike married the love of his life and best-friend Sally on May 7, 1965 and had 2 children Kristie and Travis.

Mike and Sally moved to Cape Coral with their children in 1984. Mike worked at D’Peck roofing as an estimator up until the time of his passing.

Mike was a dedicated husband , father and grandfather. He treasured his wife, children and grandchildren he embraced every moment with them. He had a passion for puzzles, love for traveling, family and his church. Mike will be remembered for his kind heart, helping hand and faith.

Mike is preceded in death by his wife Sally his parents Maurice and Josie Murphy, brother Hugh and sister Margie. He is survived by his children Travis & Kristie, grandchildren Katie and Casey, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mike will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025 inside the Remembrance Events Center at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd S, Cape Coral, Florida 33991, (239) 283-0540. All are welcome to attend as we honor a life, well-lived.
