Norman Winston Clarke had a wonderful life, was a man of honor and had an impeccable impact on the lives of everyone he encountered. Norman was Born June 3rd, 1954 in Jamaica West Indies, the first child to Herbert Clarke and Rosalie Effs. He attended Tarant Secondary school after which he was employed by Madden Funeral Home in Kingston Jamaica.
He migrated to the United States in 1997 and went on to work for Majestic Security in Bronx New York. In 2010 he moved to Cape Coral Florida where he was an automotive mechanic but became ill shortly after and retired from working.
Norman left behind his amazing mother and best best friend Rosalie, 6 children: Michael, Viola, Clion, Duran, Courtney and Alafia. 28 Grandkids, 11 Great Grands, 3 sisters in Jamaica and 3 in the United States, 3 brothers and an outstanding list of nieces, nephews, close friends and relatives.
He idolized the legendary Bob Marley and shows proof with every memorabilia of the icon. Fashion Styler with his closet must have “everybody affi ask weh him get him Clark’s” A lover of the sport of basketball and die hard Boston Celtics Fan. He also loved soccer, a Manchester City Fan and his favorite soccer player being his Little Brother Khani.
“Rasta had always come to our games and supported us. Although he never played with us, he was always on the corner watching Khani and we will miss him dearly. He was our number one fan, yet I know that his spirit lives through us as we continue playing together and developing memories that we will always cherish.” Elite & Munich FC, Cape Coral Fl.
His 63rd birthday celebration in 2017 was one for the records. It was the celebration of overcoming all the obstacles, and defeats he surpassed over the years. Health professionals gave up on him several times in the past 10 years but the overcomer that he is kept pressing on and we celebrated his life in its abundance!
One of the most fondest recent memories of Norman was the joy he experienced last summer with his children, grandkids, great grandkids and family on our trip to Jamaica.
Norman was a man of God, lover of life, respected by everyone in the community and above all he was passionate about his Family.
