

Richard John Clements, 70, of Horizon Village in North Fort Myers, FL passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015 after a brief illness. Born in Rochester, NH on February 27, 1945, Mr. Clements graduated from Spaulding High School and then attended trade school where he learned his skills as a welder and a machinist. He spent most of his adult life living in Barrington, NH. There he built his family home and he took great pride in the lush vegetable gardens he grew to feed his family. He served in the Army Reserves and worked as a machinist at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He loved sharing memories of his many vacation trips in his various campers, RV's and motor homes. But by far, his favorite vacation spot was St. Maarten in the Carribbean. Upon retirement Mr. Clements split his time between NH and Florida for several years. In December 2012 he and his new wife bought a home and moved to Horizon Village in North Fort Myers, FL. He especially enjoyed the cribbage tournaments, dances, chair volleyball games, community dinners, and sunbathing at the pool.
Mr. Clements is survived by his beloved spouse of 3 years, Deborah Lee Clements, son Gary Clements of North Fort Myers, grandchildren Alyssa and Gary Jr., and sisters Susan Laferte of Barrington, NH and Patricia Davis of Gotham, ME, as well as brother-in-law Stephen Yankosky and sister-in-law Bethany Yankosky of North Fort Myers, FL and brother-in-law John Crosbie and Janice Popp Crosbie of East Hampstead, NH. Mr. Clements was pre-deceased by his wife Genevieve Clements, daughter Sheila Clements, parents Paul and Blanche Clements, brother Paul Clements Jr., sister Shirley Zinck Clements , and several nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation and service will be held in North Fort Myers, FL with final burial in Barrington, NH.
