Richard Bruce Petrulavage, 87, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 9, 2025. He was born December 6, 1937 in Somerville, MA. Richard led a life full of love, dedication, and joy, leaving behind a lasting legacy of cherished memories.
Richard was the beloved husband of Judy, with whom he shared many years of happiness and companionship. He was a devoted father to Paul and a devoted step-father to Tracy Jakubiak, Robert and Kevin Brewster. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years, where he displayed his commitment and patriotism. His time in service helped shape the man he became, one who valued loyalty, discipline and integrity.
Richard’s gentle spirit, wisdom and love for his family and his friends will be deeply missed.
Richard's ashes will be laid to rest March 14th at 10:30a, at Sarasota National Cemetery.
There will be a celebration of life in his honor on Saturday, March 15th, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m, poolside at 2905 S. Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of choice in his memory.
